Favorite Business
I meet a lot of interesting people and frequent many different businesses. Some are in passing and others have become close friends and reliable places I go to for services. Below are some of my favorite businesses. Check back often, as I’ll be adding more and more in the future.
When I relax, I like to laugh. There is no funnier group in Philadelphia than The N Crowd. They’ve been doing improv comedy shows since 2005 and much like a fine wine, they get better every year. Tickets tend to go fast, so they are rarely a last minute decision to go see. There is one guy there that looks awfully familiar.
Tucked away in Gibraltar, PA is a great florist and gift shop: Cedar Hill Flowers. It is owned and operated by two fantastically creative ladies. I swing by often when I need to pick up gifts or flowers for friends and foe alike. They take orders online, but you should definitely stop by if you are in the area to see their wares in person.
Shades of Green Tavern
While in the Birdsboro, PA area (specifically Gibraltar, PA) there is only one watering hole I like to go to, The Shades of Green. To quote their new website, “This isn’t your father’s watering hole.” In the summer of 2016 they remodeled the inside of their bar and it looks great. As for food, it’s hard to say what is the best because everything is delicious. I like the Cheesesteak Panini personally. As for drinks, they always have a rotating selection so it’s best to see what is on tap. I’ve never been disappointed.
Seeking assistance with mental health issues can be difficult, but ultimately is good for your overall health. Everyone should see a therapist and you would be hard-pressed to do better than Redefine Therapy. Online therapy sessions are available!
AFC Urgent Care
While I may look graceful on film, I do hurt myself from time to time or pick up a cold. When these injuries and illnesses are serious but nonlife-threatening I swing by my friends at AFC Urgent Care. These Urgent Care Centers require no appointment and they can help me with a variety of everyday needs such as Physicals, Vaccines, X-rays, and other medical screenings. The best part? They have many locations in southeastern Pennsylvania.
AFC Urgent Care Lower Macungie
I'm a big supporter of supporting local businesses. Although they've been in business since 2014, I recently came across this place via my brother, Christoph Stallion Taylor. I love this distillery, and it is my go-to location to buy good whiskey, gin, rum, vodka, and other small-batch whiskeys. Many of my Colt Cocktail videos feature these spirits. Their distillery operates out of Pottstown, PA but they also have a couple tasting rooms in Philadelphia. You might even find some of their whiskey in PA Wine and Spirit stores. If you visit their Pottstown location, tell them Colt Sebastian Taylor sent you. You won't get anything, but it'll be funny.
Established in 2016, this great local distillery is located in downtown, Reading PA. That produces a very tasty white rum, spiced rum, and vodka. I especially recommend their omojito. It is the perfect way to unwind after a very long day. The folks who run the place are very friendly and it is my go-to place for great Berks County rum. If you are in the area, I suggest checking them out.
